    A few kilted outings...

I just thought I would post a couple pictures and the stories that go along with them. My girlfriend's Mom had her Christmas party last week, and many friends showed up to share in the merriment. Many of them I knew, many more that I did not know. I wore my SWK Royal Stewart Standard, basic SWK accessories, and a Navy blue military style Old Navy jacket that I picked up last Spring for 6 bucks. It was a hit. My best friend (who is of Czec heritage by the way) was telling a group of girls about kilt nights, and they all wanted to get their men in on it. Several guys came up to me and wanted to know how they could get in on the action. They all thought I had such big, er...balls for wearing it with such pride. And they all thought I was starting a trend, which of course I had to refer them to this website and the existing culture, of which I am only a tiny part of. But nice to be thought of in that way!

Last night I met the same friend mentioned above for dinner and drinks while wearing my new SWK Weathered Mackenzie (that my girlfriend got for me for Christmas! And I love it!), and when our waiter (a young collegish kid) brought the check he wanted to know all about the kilt. He told me he was of Scots heritage on both sides and that he was interested in wearing the kilt. I told him about SWK and USAK, and gave him this web address. I mentioned the possibility of a kilt night soon, and told him to look us up when he gets his kilt together. Excuse the pose in the second picture, I was caught a bit off guard by my sister. I had no idea she was going to take a picture.

Sisters, don't you just love them!

Great pictures, and so relaxed, as well as it should be.

I know. I look like such a doofus! Thanks guys. Sorry there weren't more pics.

I LOVE my Weathered Mackenzie. It has all of my favorite colors!

I wore my kilt today for lunch, and a woman called out as I passed her table "I love your outfit today!"

People can be so nice. It made me smile at the world.

Happy New Year to you all!

Hey, Dire, thanks for sharing! Is there no color version of the first one?
