    A few photos from the Pleasanton Highland Games

    Hi All,

    The 150th Games presented by the Caledonia Society of San Francisco was a huge success in spite of the warm temperatures.

    While I was unable to see everything and meet up with everyone I might like to have, here are some photos from the weekend for your enjoyment.

    Whisky tasting with The F-H.C.A.G and Keith







    This gin aged in pear brandy barrels was quite lovely!



    Watching Hafthor Bjornsson (Game of Throne's "The Mountain") throwing weight over bar




    Star and Officer Lawrence (he loves working the games because it is the one time of the year he can wear his kilt as part of his uniform)

    Quite agree...Great photos. I caught sight of you and your lovely wife (congrats on the anniversary) but you had vanished ere I could reach you to meet you face to face.

    Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle.
