    Few Pictures Around Chicago

Just wanted to share a few pictures from my continuing weekend in Chicago.

At Lollapalooza looking down the "alley" towards some of the stages:

    Fountain at Grant Park:

Both of those are wearing my tan AmeriKilt. And a funny note, I got more comments on my Dropkick Murphy's shirt than the kilt!
These next ones are in the X-Marks kilt on the sky deck at Sears Tower:

And I just had to do the "Ferris Bueller":

Great pictures, KT, and two very nice kilts there. Co-incidentally Chicago was in the news here in Scotland today as American Airlines have announced they will be ceasing the direct flights between Glasgow and Chicago from October. But there will still be plenty of flights to Glasgow and Edinburgh from many other US and Canadian cities so no excuse not to visit Scotland.

Which is sad news for me, as I liked flying through O'Hare better than the Continental option of Newark, or the US Airways option through Philadelphia.

That's nuts. I was just in Chicago wearing my Black Stewart kilt all week. As I was driving out, I saw the Lollopalooza taking place. It looked like a blast. Aren't Chicago people wonderful about kilts? I got so many compliments.

    Nice pics, thanks.

So that's the view from the top of the Sears Tower! I've always wondered . . .

The "Ferris Bueller" shot makes me dizzy-I don't do heights in buildings!

Jeez, Taper...you actually found Billy Goats! That puts you in the top ten percent of tourists!

It's good to see what you found interesting enough to photograph...I'm sure that you've got more. That Metra station is a replica of a Paris Metro entryway...I know the guy who decided that Michigan Avenue needed a bit more class and personally paid to have the thing put in...quite a civic gesture, eh?

And I hope that the Sears Tower was all it's cracked up to be...as a Native Chicagoan, I have never been up there...it's the law. Now, the CN Tower in Toronto...hey...you can't keep me away David would love the CN Tower: they have a plexiglass floor that you can walk out on and it's waaaaaay down to the ground where they have a tasteful floral display of a huge Maple Leaf done in red blossoms.

And, KT, how were any of the bars that you checked out?

    Best

    AA
