Finally a halfway decent picture!

Typically I wear the kilt after work, just lounging around inside. Not very photogenic. But today I had some chores and was smoking pork for Sunday dinner and decided to do it kilted. So ladies and gents, here it is.

Yes, I know I need proper hose (they're being shipped currently) and its definitely just a casual outfit, but all in all I think it looks fairly good for a Stillwater Economy. Also, those socks aren't white; you can't really tell with the bad light. They are a very nice cream, they're just a bit short to really work with a kilt.

Joel: I like your kilt and that casual look. Your non-white socks are fine. They would even be fine (to me) in stark white. I would just scrunch them down.

Nice-looking sporran, too. Is that a zippered compartment? Is it from Stillwater, as well?

I wish you hadn't mentioned smoke pork. Now, I'm hungry and will have to sign off. I spent many years in Florida - the Keys, Miami, Vero Beach, Tallahassee, Jasper, et. al.

Thanks mookien. Yes, that's Stillwater's cargo sporran. Mine's black nylon, so definitely just casual, but it got three pockets and is incredibly convenient.

No, no, of course it isn't! Its totally different!

Or not so much. But there's a great historical precedent for men wearing pouches on their waist, so I don't feel my masculinity is threatened. Even when I'm in a skirt lol!

Its funny, I smile a lot normally, but when a camera is aimed at me I stop smiling. I have no idea why; its certainly not intentional.

But this is about how I was feeling that day.
