Finally picked up some hose.
At first, when I started wearing kilts, I was opposed to the idea of hose. I didnt particularly like the look of them. After seeing some of the picutres of the lads on this forum, they started to grow on me. As a result, I bought 3 pairs of hose, lovat blue, green and black. These colours go well with my current array of tartans. Anyways, here is a photo of my first adventure in my hose. The shoes are also new. My wife picked them up from Costco - who knew costco sold such nice things - thinking they would look good with a pair of jeans. Little did she know, I had bigger plans in mind for them... Anyways, let me know what you think.
Note: I know some of you gents will immediately remark about the shirt not being tucked in. Don't bother. Unless its a button up and I've a tie on, its not going to happen. That's just how we millennials roll.

Those go great with your kilt. Good choice!

I think that is great-looking informal wear. I see little, or no, difference between wearing a sweater outside your kilt and a T outside, especially when your sporran is readily accessible. The hose look great. All three colors are versatile choices. Good for you!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Plus one! Well done. The new hose jumped your kilted look up a big notch from your first posts, mate. Looking good.

The lovat green hose match the Black Watch tartan well. As for your shirt, if you like the look, why not.

In my opinion kilts needs hose. I cannot imagine a picture of you in your BW without them. Well done!!

The hose look good and add a level of 'neatness' to your outfit and will allow you greater flexibility in dressing it up.
Also, the shirt looks fine the way you're wearing it, in my opinion.

Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. Looking good, sir! I like the shoes and hose. Kilt height is good and hose aren't pulled up too high either. This look works. I wore a t-shirt like this when singing with Celtae in Ottawa and I think it's right in the right context. I'd consider a brown sporran to go with my nice brown shoes, but this matching of leather is by no means essential. You'll find ample examples and photographic samples of men wearing brown sporrans with black shoes, so it's a personal preference thing, nothing more.
