Snow and ice
I remember my first kilted snow. And I was wearing my Black Watch kilt too.
I would reply with a kilted snow pic from today, but we got black ice instead. It doesn't photograph well :/

I just can't relate. It's been in the 80's here.
The temperature plummeted down into the mid-70's yesterday.
(BTW about East Tennessee, my mom used to live in Elizabethton, near Johnson City.)

Very familiar with Elizabethton Richard, I try to swing by there when I'm in the area to visit all the antique malls in the old down town. Really neat place, like going back in time almost.

Nice shot. Living near OCRichard I seem to have forgotten what snow is. Having been born in Utah, spending most of my youth in Iowa and Nebraska, high school in Flagstaff Arizona (250 inches my senior year)and my college years in Rexburg, Id and Logan, Utah I'm not sure I'd call that a snow though. I've never lived in Tennessee so don't know what your snow levels are like. Still I'm jealous. I miss winter.

We had almost snow here - it was coming down hard, and was white in the air, but just too warm for it to settle - and I was out in it. Luckily I was wearing a long kilt - 27 inches, and fairly heavy wool too, with a wool jersey jacket and cap - wool makes a big difference.

What is this snow and cold you speak of?
I’m suffering though 42deg (107 Fahrenheit)
It’s easier to get warm than stay cool.
But lovely photos!

I was very close by when that snow storm hit, in Asheville, and yes I was kilted as well. No issues with the cold at all
