    Folk Festival 1

As some of you may know, Hamish has come to stay for a few days to help with our festival.
Within two hours of his arrival we had him working

Then during his break he hit the beers

    Lots more pics on Monday.

I've never seen anyone so well co-ordinated for sweeping. I'm looking forward to the next set of photos.

Looks like a great time. How was the crowd? Was it a benefit? If so, did you make any money? Inquiring minds want to know.

Now we have confirmation that pleats aren't the only thing Hamish can sweep!

Looking forward to the pics on Monday!
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
