It was a great weather day for the Welsh Festival. The James Monroe Museum and The Welsh Society do a great job in putting it together.

Mael Coluim of Virginia St. Columba Voyage Clan MacCallum Malcolm Society
I had stopped to say hi to the ladies manning the Scottish Society table when a fellow eyed my XMarks the Scot.com crest badge that I have mounted on my belt buckle. He wasn’t interested in kilts, but his wife was. I was able to give them a brief history of the kilt. My camera batteries all were discharged. The fellow took our photo said he would email it to me. When it comes it will go here.
I spied another kiltie and found out it he was the President of Welsh Society, Bob Roser. He also played the pipes with the band, Moch Pryderi and was a Welsh Folk dancer. His tartan is St. David. I told him mine was St. Patrick and he replied that Patrick was a Welshman that had been enslaved by the Irish. How interesting. I knew Patrick was a Briton, but didn’t realize he was Welsh.

The inFamous Welsh Cookies tent. My wife had given me orders to bring back lots!
Moch Pryderi is a great folk music band. I really enjoyed them.
The Welsh folk dancing was well performed.
I know several of the Rabble are Masons. I snapped this photo of the Masonic graveyard behind the museum.
Afterwards, I enjoyed a happy ending! This one is for you Blinki!
Ah your killing me. I will see you at the the games and I will owe you one Looks like a great time! As always great pics.

The Scots claim he was from Strathclyde. :-) I don't think there is enough evidence to say for sure where in Britain he was from.
