Yesterday, The Scottish Society of Fredericksburg, VA held a Kilt Night to celebrate the birthday of Fredericksburg most famous Scot and American Patriot, General Doctor Hugh Mercer at Park Lane Tavern. Robert Glasgow, Dennis Buchanan are enthralled with Mark Ellis's stories. Larry Livingston and Chuck Johnson have the required drinks in hand! Ern Malcolm has Larry's and Chuck's wives in hand! Chief Ern Malcolm goes Duck Dynasty for the Kilt Night! Okay, Hawk there are the photos; it happened!

Small historical note, your General Mercer was the commanding confederate general in Savannah Ga when W T Sherman destroyed Georgia. His grandson was Johnny Mercer who wrote the song Moon River cheers Mattie

His descendant Hugh Weedon Mercer is the Confederate General you cite. A more contemporary descendent is General George Patton. Ern
