    A great crazy night ..

Even though the wife and myself teach music, Elaine also spends a few hours each week day morning as PA to the Editor of the students newspaper down at the students union. She's been doing it for 6 years now and loves it .. Each year the students at the university vote for a new editor and deputy ed. So over a twelve month Elaine and myself get invited to many a 'bash'. Last night the students who run the newspaper joined forces with the students who run the student local radio station in the offices next to the newspapers and had a Chrismas party at this wine bar. It was a crazy night. I wore my Cilt and the only pic I had of me came out really blurred .. sorry! Anyhow for anyone wanting to know my Cilt was a NON EVENT. It was not mentioned once from the time we arrived till the time we left. Anyhow here's some pics from the night. I hope they bring back some memories for any x markers who spent a few years at Uni. The wine bar by the way were very good by allowing all the students to bring their own booze to save money .. I took a few cans beer with me. Elaine took two bottles of Magners.
Just as they started serving out the food

This is Elaine's 'Boss' (the editor until May 2007). She's a great girl and as you can see very eager to get some grub inside her

As they were all finishing eating a slow hand clap started as one guy said he could drink half a bottle of wine that was on a table. Everyboby clapped more and started stamping their feet as he duly did it. Then there was a great cheer!

Then they decided to have a boat race between the newspaper and the radio station. For anyone who does'nt know what it is. You make up two lines. Everyone in each line has a full glass of wine or beer. The first in each line drink as fast as they can in one go and when the glass is empty sit on the floor .. the next two continue .. and so on. The line who are all sat down on the floor first, Win!
Here they are organising the rules before they started

The newspaper is on the left, radio station on the right
    Then they were off

I'd be willing to take those chances. I've dealt with Irish girls, how much more crazy can Welsh be?
