Great weather for adventure

Yesterday was a beautiful day to hit one of a few of our favourite haunts and just 'chill out'. For anybody who may be able or interested in coming to our Folk Festival in Sept, on the mon (7th) Elaine Hamish myself and friends will be heading to the Red Cow for a walk and some pub grub. You all welcome to join us. Its all done on buses and walking.
8am and we were on the bus ...


Then we had to catch the next bus to take us to Merthyr Tydfil. The weather was fab

We were soon on the next bus and heading up the valleys




In the craigs in this hill there is a pair of nesting Perigrine's

We arrived in Merthyr and the ladys went to the farmers market first while we went and secured some refreshments. We didnt order any coffee for the girls cause it would only get cold ... there always say they gonna 10min and its usually half hour or more.






Then its off on another bus through a few little villages, some of which have 'front room' pubs

Then its off into the countryside and hills

[Derek]

Soon after getting off the bus and walking we were greeted by a Buzzard gliding in a thermal


And then we reached the reservoir

[GMan]

Derek you sure know how to share your life with us, thank you.

Last time we were here, this overflow was well overflowing


The mountain railway was running up the other side of the valley .. had to zoom in a bit on these

Then we took to the lanes






And arrived at our destination


Had a beer and some pub grub ... arwyn set my camera up with out me seeing on a 10 sec timer .. this is it .. doh
