    Groomsman at wedding

I had a chance to be a groomsman at the wedding of some young friends on New Year's eve. Just now getting around to post a couple of pics. He just moved here from outside London (they have been dating for 4 years long distance), and the couple wanted to watch expenses for the wedding. They requested black suits for the best man and myself. Since I don't own a black suit anymore, I showed them this ensemble, and it was met with great approval. I had offered to wear a suit it they wanted me to, but they opted for this. The kilt is a SWK heavyweight in shadow tartan, black argyll, and the waistcoat was made by the groom's mother. It has a rose embroidered on the back (back is white satin). I know that many on this forum might not have chosen an SWK for wedding attire, but I think the entire outfit went together very well. I got more compliments on this outfit at the wedding than I have ever gotten on any kilt and jacket I have worn before.

I agree, you look great. Those Stillwater heavyweights are amazing value and they are, at least, real wool. Fie on the haters

    Looking good Sir!

    As for your comment

I have to say that my Stillwater black heavyweight kilt has always made a big splash at events where I have worn it. They are unusual, handsome. and the black on black tartan is intriguing.

    Cheers
