It sounds like your hike had a fairly steep elevation profile. Well done! A great place to be doing the "Hamish."

I envy the view and moment for you. Thanks for sharing. Our tallest site here in Oxford, MS is Thacker Mountain at "not quite a nose-bleed elevation of 507 feet. The fire tower is gone now and for the longest time that was all you could see except the forest.

Where Matty is hiking may be higher than Thacker Mt., but to compensate you have Frenchman's Bend and Yoknapatawpha County.
