    Hiking, Geocaching and Ingress

From my home in Kaysville Utah, Looking out my front door, Stands a magnificent range of mountains. As part of the greater Wasatch front this sections Stands just over 9000 feet above sea level and four and a half thousand above the valley floor. Over the years I have hiked and posted many pictures of my kilted exploits on their peaks, and trails.
Today at the request of a friend I made my third assault on the highest peak. Mt. Thurston stands 9007 feet and only 4.5 miles from my front porch. All total we hike around 5.5 miles. We destroyed three enemy portals in the game of ingress and I refound for the third time a favorite Geocache. Of course no adventure is complete without the customary photographs Front back and the Hamish.
Also enjoying my USA Casual, Black Stewart and leather Cargo Sporran from Stillwater.

Boy, Matty, you really get around. Great scenery. Beautiful view. I'm glad you didn't drop your compass off the cliff.

It sounds like your hike had a fairly steep elevation profile. Well done! A great place to be doing the "Hamish."

I envy the view and moment for you. Thanks for sharing. Our tallest site here in Oxford, MS is Thacker Mountain at "not quite a nose-bleed elevation of 507 feet. The fire tower is gone now and for the longest time that was all you could see except the forest.

Where Matty is hiking may be higher than Thacker Mt., but to compensate you have Frenchman's Bend and Yoknapatawpha County.
