    Hiking in my Arctic Tartan

I had a very nice hike at Eklutna Lake a few weeks ago. It was still a bit hazy from all the wildfires we've had this summer. And my Achilles tendon has been bothering, hence the walking stick. But it was beautiful weather and turned into a very nice outing.

Takes me down memory lane. My Dad was a hard hat diver, underwater welder, we moved to Alaska when I was 7 and I lived there nine years total between 1965-76 back and forth between So. Calif. and mostly Anchorage. Loved that area.

Nice picture. Thanks for posting. Great looking outfit. Love the combination of blues and grays. Sorry about the wildfire haze. I know how that can be.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Very Nice- Hard To Keep Clean??

Very nice tartan, Ron (riverkilt) has placed a lot of pictures of this tartan online. I am curious, is the white in the tartan hard to keep clean?

    Very nice kilt.

    Very nice kilt.

Ron's kilt is the Antarctic (with white as the primary field), and I bought it from him last year. It didn't quite fit me, but I found it a home with someone it did fit before I got around to altering it.

I made this Arctic kilt at Kilt Kamp last year. I wear it often and have only done some minor spot cleaning. So I would have to say that the white is not that hard to keep clean.

And thanks, everyone, for the nice comments.

Hiking in any tartan is a splendid thing, but then again I'm very biased.

Seriously, that's a fine looking kilt Truitt. Have a great time out there!
