Hiking in my new Newsome Kilt

Some of you may recall a post in the For Sale section regarding a brand new Matt Newsome Morrison Green Modern 5 yd box-pleated kilt. Well, I was the lucky first responder. The kilt arrived last week, and I couldn't wait to wear it. Unfortunatly I didn't get any pictures on Saturday at the local Spring arts & crafts street fair, but I did get some yesterday on a hike up in the mountains. It was a windy 54 degrees up on top, which is a far cry from the 92 degrees on the valley floor below. Anyway, pics or it didn't happen right...Here they are:

I'm in the market for a more casual brown leather belt and sporran, for days just like this. So, what do you think?

Looks like fun and a great way to inaugurate that killer deal.

I was going to say "you need a bigger dog" for your proportions but clicked through to the pic of you with Goofy. OK, you don't need a bigger dog LOL

First of all, congrats on the new kilt and thanks for the pics. I would agree that a casual leather belt and sporran would be a better match with the t-shirt and boots.

On the one hand, it doesn't really matter what you look like out on the trail. On the other, it might be nice to preserve your nicer kit from wear and tear...

Great pics, and a beautiful kilt. Well, done, you, the original owner, and Matt, of course, whom I just have the privilege of meeting in person.

We have two yellow labs and a black lab that I hunt birds with every year, but the little old chihuahua mix drew the short straw for this hike. He was very worn out, and slept the whole way home.

You’re looking good, and not a MacLeod to be seen, which is a good thing when you’re wearing a Morrison.
