Impatience Pays Off
I knew I had a wait ahead of me after ordering my Ross Hunting Modern tank from USAKilts. They announced their 10% off OTR sale, I called and compulsively bought an ISO kilt. It arrived today (ordered Friday) and I am satisfied.
I've never had fun with clothing. I am super basic, but tonight I enjoyed mixing an matching a few things to wear with my new kilt. Here are some images. Disclaimer: the lighting must be off because I usually look just like a mix between Brad Pitt and Jamie Frasier.
I have a sporran, kilt pin, flashes, and 2 belts + buckle coming with my tank. I'm looking forward to showing that off. The hose and the flashes in these images came from Harp & Shamrock in Tacoma, WA.
Let me know if I'm wearing it too high or any other suggestions. This is literally my first time ever in a kilt.

Looking dapper in your many changes of kilt-wear. Others may add more, but it appears you are proud and wear it as such.

Great pics J Ross !
You look comfortable in your kilt in all the ways it can be worn both formal and informal . Kilt height is always questionable when looking at pictures as camera angles can give the wrong impression .
The fact that you are aware of kilt height is a big plus !
I know what you mean about lighting , I usually look like Colin Farrell .... not !!!

I am just wondering what that round "badge" is that is placed at kilt pin height? I can quite see that you are going to have great fun working at the assorted combinations that kilt attire can give.

I think the round badge is the USA Kilts logo. As seen on their casual kilt model http://www.usakilts.com/casual-kilt.html .

This is nearly a "one kilt, ten looks" thread! You look fine and will (in my opinion) look more complete when your sporran arrives.
Question: Is that a kilt cut jacket? Due to the shape and proportions, I would not wear a saxon cut jacket with my kilt. Again, personal opinion there. On the other hand, your casual look appears very comfortable and like you have been doing it for years.

Great looks. I think the denim and the other casual jacket work. For the 'dressier' jackets, I agree with Spartan Tartan that they look better kilt cut.

Looking good. Until I saw the photos I was wondering what an "ISO kilt" was.
Time to invest in a jacket or two and some other coloured hose?

Great looks all, though I agree with Spartan Tartan about the Saxon-style jacket. Your sporran, and at least a modest variety of colored hose, will exponentiate the possibilities.
Also, I would not button/zip a jacket unless, of course, the weather called for it. Congratulations, and thanks for posting the pics.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
