    Informal Burns Night....

My MG car club had its annual Burns Night at McGreggor's in Webster, NY. Bagpipes but no haggis. I''m avegetarian anyway so no loss. This was my attempt at casual but dressy as the dinner was 1500 until 1800 hours. I altered an old (1967) jacket which had appliqué pockets that I simply removed before shortening. I made the sporran from a thrift store jacket. Clark tartan, USMC kilt pin, hand knitted hose. I was the only one kilted, though several ladies had tartan accessories.

Looks like a fun time! Bob and I met thanks to Long Beach MG Club and still attend a few events each year. Bob has kilted up for the annual awards banquets for several years now, he and a brother-in-law are the only ones kilted but all the ladies enjoy it

The Clark tartan is beautiful! You wear it well.

You look very smart. Excellent job on the sporran as well! A Burns Supper does not have to be a grand event by the way.
