Lucky me! Just back from Scotland and whilst on Iona, Mrs. R treated me to an Alexander Richie designed "Prioress Anna" sterling silver brooch that will be entering service as a kit pin and will have its first outing at Harpenden in July. Here it is, with a couple of pics of the beautiful Iona as well:

Ooh, I like that one. I have been brooch shopping myself but nothing available has struck my fancy yet. Thanks for the pictures

Beautiful. I love Iona silver. I have acquired a few pieces.
Ach... simply lovely! I wonder if we may have been on Iona about the same time and didn't know it? I was there May 11-15. You have a precious treasure from a precious Isle. Thanks for the photos... a great reminder of a "thin place". D.

I was on Mull for four days at the beginning of June and as part of that, Iona for only one. A precious place indeed.
I own a kilt pin, too. John "I seek not to follow in the footsteps of the men of old. I seek the things they sought." ~Basho
How odd! On the day you posted this I was here watching my son play rugby.
