Irish Night
Tonight, the Irish folk group Round the House visits Page. They're from Tucson - nice of them to trek over the mountain to the canyonlands to play tonight.
Each of my grandparents have an Irish line. So tonight I go to hear the music and to honor my Doyle, McMillan, Gardener, and Taft lines.

Hanna Hat, made-to-measure argyle jacket from Lochcarron, USA Kilts semi-trad in saffron, leather nightstalker sporran from SWK, Lewis kilt hose and traditional garter ties from STM, Z Coil shoes, and Lollysmith blackthorn cane.

They will be playing at the Auld Dubliner here in Tucson on Feb 18th. I will have to try and get some of the local rabble to attend. Hope you have a great time.

Well, turned out fair to middlin'....last Irish band I heard live was the Celtic Tigers in Maui and they play loud driving drinking songs. Round the House played ballads and sad songs and a few jiggy tunes...course they were playing for a school crowd.
Once again I've numbed the locals to kilts. Only comment the whole night was on my Z Coil shoes - wanting to know where to get them...guess that's good.
My Irish DNA feels rejuvinated though.
