Jamie McKrimmon
Here's a shot of me at Houston Comicpalooza with actor Frazer Hines, who played kilt wearing assistant Jamie McCrimmon on Doctor Who from 1966 to 1969, Frazer is getting his 'cowboy' on a little...

Other photos from the weekend- some of which may offend the delicate sensibilities of some XMarkers, can be seen at my Facebook;

He was also in the TV soap Emmerdale Farm but he was never kilted in that.

Good to see him looking so well. I blame him for getting me into kilts from watching Dr Who in the 60s.

Awesome. Not to turn too far off topic but do you ever see Jeffery Combs (Weyoun on DS9)? I have liked everything I've seen him in.

I'd like to, but I haven't had the pleasure. He's not a frequent convention guest. I think he only did 2 or 3 of the big Trek events in the last year or so.

Oic. He's a real talent. There was a rumour that he would have joined "Enterprise" as a regular (rather than being a guest star) cast member if a fifth series had been ordered.
Weyoun (and The Dominion) is my favourite Trek adversary.

At 117 episodes (if I read that aright) wouldn't the Jamie character be the longest-running full-time kilted character on any TV show? Does anyone else come remotely close?

Could be, Richard. I thought perhaps Hamish Clark as Duncan MacKay on Monarch of the Glen could have surpassed. But, no. Hamish was only on 53 episodes according to imdb.

Isn't Jamie MacCrimmon the character that influenced Diana Galboldon to write "Outlander"
My favorite book series (and still going) of all time?
