    Exclamation Jamie's Pics

    Hi everyone,

I only have a couple pictures of myself kilted thus far - as the father of a new child, I'm usually the one HOLDING the camera.

But here's one of most of me from my sister's wedding back in May, wearing my Kilt Store Casual Kilt with the Clark Ancient tartan. I was also wearing white hose with appropriate flashes and a nice pair of Ghillie Brogues. I love the Jacobite shirts, personally. I know some folks who dislike them as being informal, but I think they look sharp.

My sister had a piper at the wedding, and the two of us spent some time discussing the best ways to tie the Ghillie Brogues and such.

The other folks in the pic, in case you're curious are my wife Jennifer, my mom, my dad, and my son Duncan. I wanted to put him in a kilt, too, but my wife said it was a bit prohibitively expensive. I think she just wanted to put him in that Tiki Surfer shirt, but darned if he doesn't look cute in it.

First, and FAR more importantly, congratulations on Duncan. Fun, ain't they?!;)

I'm one of the few (I guess) that likes the Jacobite shirts! It beats the heck out of some t-shirts or some modern button-ups that just don't work. Whether or not they're authentic... they look like they are.

Next time, you and Jennifer can compromise and put Duncan in one of those SportKilt Hawaiian-print kilts.

    Yes, they are!

The issue isn't kilts themselves... it's the money of it. Jenn didn't see the point of getting him a little kilt when he'd have worn in probably once. Plus she didn't want to take any attention away from the bride (my sister) with both of us wearing kilts.

Not that it worked, of course, he got photographed all over the place! I did, too, a little bit.

    Jamie,

Duncan is one fantastic looking kid!

    You look awesome all kilted!

You can add me to the list of Jacobite shirt wearers.
