Some good pictures. Do you do sword fight demonstrations/training?

Great shot's Allen. Where did you get the buckler?
Your hanging guard looks just what I thought it should.
    Good job!

    Thanks to all!

Yes, I have been studying/ training in many different aspects of historical european martial arts for just about 7 years now. I do simple demos at highland games and let people try on my armour and handle my swords. The kids love it.

The buckler is from Albion Armorers: http://www.albion-swords.com/armor/m...ry/buckler.htm
It's very durable and has taken a solid beating for several years. I do with the grip was a touch thicker though. I recomend buying ANYTHING from Albion.

The bonnet as well as the jacket is from Barkertown Sutlers: http://www.barkertownsutlers.com/
They were great to work with and its a high quality product.

the hanging guard- yeah thats the general idea. Of course the ward itself is done with the body more upright and the weight balanced between your feet. (some argue that it should be more on your back foot). Once you close in like that it becomes quite easy and effective to wrap up your opponents sword arm and do what you will to him.

Looks a lot like some of the stuff I did when I was studying Filipino martial arts.
