Keltoi box-pleated Highland Granite
I have a camera, but have not managed to get anyone else to take a picture of me in my fabulous new Keltoi box-pleated Highland Granite kilt. So last night, before I ran out the door to an annual fund-raising dance and auction/sale for SNAP (the Society of Northern Alberta Print-Artists), I put my camera on a shelf and managed at least one shot that wasn't utterly out of focus. Here it is:

Yes, the bowtie (etc.) is askew, and I really need to get a good picture that shows off the pleats, but this will need to serve for now.
Feel free to critique.

Not bad looks like a smart outfit, You do remind me of him out of Stargate universe robert carlisle i believe his name is.
I have heard only good things about John at Keltoi and my one small order from him was handled very well, he is definatly on my short list for a kilt in the future. (unfortunatly my short list is growing longer daily) Im looking forward to seeing some more pics and hopefully one including a pleat shot

Nice looking kilt. Congratulations. The bow tie may be off, but it's almost parallel with the floor. Sounds like you were on your way out for a great evening.

Looks good. I love that tartan, as well. I got a length of it shortly after Lochcarron introduced it. I pondered with the notion of making a box pleated kilt (as that is normally my preference), but decided in the end to make a six yard knife pleated kilt, as I had enough fabric for it. I've gotten a lot of wear out of this one, casually and formally.
I find the grey tones in the tartan very versitile in terms of accessorizing. For formal wear, so far I have tended to stay with black and white.

While for more casual wear, I like to introduce another color into the outfit. It works best if you can tie in the shirt and hose, or flashes. The nuetral colors of the kilt go with just about anything.

Enjoy your Highland Granite kilt! I'm sure you'll get just as much use out of it as I have.
