    Kilted for Christmas

A first for me. I must admit that I do not wear the kilt very often.
However, when I just learned this past week that the annual Burns Supper was NOT going to happen in Salem this January, I decided I should wear my new Argyll jacket to Christmas dinner. Spent the day kilted with my immediate and extended family at my home:

    Re: Kilted for Christmas

Went to visit my daughter in New Hampshire - wore my kilt with new jacket to Mass and then dinner at the hotel. Received lots of very positive comments. My family has worn our kilts on Christmas to honor my Mother since forever.

Kilt is 30 years old bespoke by Ann Stewart made of Strathmore Modern Buchanan 16 oz. Sporran is Craigie Original Falconer, sweater off the shelf cashmere (it was 16 degrees yesterday morning) my daughter said I needed color in the pocket so I improvised with one of my hose flashes.
Even my sgian dhu is in a festive mood. This is made of Scottish heather twig jewelry and deer horn.
