Kilted cuteness
My son Declan just turned two and he was beyond thrilled that his big sister's old kilt fits him. I need to make him a bigger sporran. The one he has was pinned to his newborn kilt.

Wonderful picture. What a winning smile. Since he has an older sister, I'm sure you're bracing yourself as he enters the terrible 2s.

As Father Bill says, he's a winner.

And now it starts.....
He receives a new kilt and his sporran is too small. He only needs a larger sporran,....then it's a pair of hose,...and ohhh,...an Argyll jacket with waistcoat, or possibly a tweed jacket. But wait, he's growing, so he'll need more in just a few years.
So it will go for the rest of his life.

He has two older sisters but his terrible twos have been the most taxing thus far. He's also got a baby brother or sister due in July.

He had all those things as a newborn...well not a jacket, that would be a little much to make for someone that would grow out of it in a few weeks. But waistcoat, hose, and flashes...yep. Made them for his blessing ceremony. If Firecracker is a boy, the hubby will wear a kilt to bless him and Declan will wear his kilt too....so OBVIOUSLY I'll have to make him a new waistcoat....right?

Awwwww! What a cute little guy in a manly kilt. Mom's rightfully proud of him.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
