Going backward in time, newest to oldest pics.
Spring 2011--Papa and Carter in new Dutch Friendship Tartan kilts by Bonnie Heather Greene:

Summer 2009, Louisville kilt night, Papa in Braveheart tartan kilt by Bobolishious, Carter in MacDonald infant kilt:

Spring 2009, Kentucky Scottish Weekend, Papa in Ancient Douglas, Carter in MacDonald infant kilt:

January 2009, Louisville kilt night, Papa in Black Isle, Carter in MacDonald infant kilt:

May 2008, Edinburgh Castle, Papa in Isle of Skye, Carter in MacDonald infant kilt:

No pictures of both of us kilted together the day in mid February 2008 in Phoenix at their annual highland games, which was the first day ever kilted for both Papa (age 48 then) and Carter (age 2 weeks then---actually more a kilt swaddling than wearing as even the infant kilt was far too big for him).

Re: Kilted Father and Son Pictures
At my wedding last June, one of the most moving parts of our ceremony was when my wife made separate vows to our son. (His bio mom is in his life but has taken to mothering like a bilge rat takes to stenography, so we don't use the "step" word.) She has been involved in his life since he was 2, and he's probably the only reason she agreed to marry me.

Our son's one adamant musical request at the reception...THE CHICKEN DANCE! I doubt our overseas friends are familiar with this wedding habit (just can't bring myself to call it a tradition). If not, alert all border and customs agencies to be on the lookout for it. You do not want this imported.
I kid. It's good fun.

How about my three sons plus one daughter? (The other daughter and Mamma were behind the camera at the time).

Is this the same son who is in the middle of your first picture?
Holy growth spurt, Batman! Moderation in all things, sir, including HGH injections.

I can't believe you, of all people, didn't spot that your daughter's kilt was on backwards.
Have to add the obvious: beeeutiful kiddos. I don't know how you planned such precise steps in height, but that is impressive.

Very nice photos to all of you. Very smart velvet doublet, LitTrog - it suites you, as velvet doublets typically do not work well on everybody.
Cheers,

Cheers,
Thanks, Kyle. I never thought of myself as a velvet kind-of-guy, but I saw X marker MacRobert's Reply post some pictures of his, and thought it looked awesome! Took a chance, got lucky.
