    Kilted Hipster Style

My wife is out of town this week for business so I've been filling my days and evenings with whatever little projects I can. It started with a pastel drawing of the USS Enterprise, then I moved onto video editing (see my post in the misc forum) and has now come to this; shameless self indulgence and photoshop. I haven't been able to get out much because she has the car with her in Ottawa. I haven't been able to run or bike either because of a nagging ankle injury.... so until she gets back it'll be reruns of TNG, red wine and whatever short term hobbies I can come up with.

This is my attempt at hipster-artsy-fartsy..... showing off my various tartans in the process.. (I haven't got around to doing my Black Watch yet not have I done my solid black kilt, because well.. it would lose the effect...)

*I didnt realize my hose had fallen until after I imported the pictures... was too lazy to redo at that point.

    Enjoy!

This type of art is called "color splash". I wouldn't search for it with safe search off if you are at work as it is more commonly used for images of barely dressed ladies.....

Nice to see it used for something else and very well done.

Seriously, man. Good Photoshopping and a very good presentation of Contemporary Highland Dress (CHD).

Me too! I don't know much about any of this -- "hipster," "Color splash," or even which parts of anything are "photo shopped," nor am I usually a great fan of tattoos (at least on me -- on others, okay depending on the tattoo) BUT -- that is a great tattoo under that blue kilt!!! -- and provides another possible answer to "the question" --- "a tattoo!"

LOL! Awesome- TNG, Smokehead, and the kilt. Throw in a pizza delivery and it sounds like a perfect solo weekend.

The pics look great, even if you are masquerading as a MacDonald in the last two!

Hasn't most everyone got at least a little MacDonald in them? Can't blame the few others for following along really. ;-)

Very cool photos, dig the PS effects.

But I'm not sure your definition of Hipster is at all correct.
You are minus all the eclectic sheik props... no shear scarves, thin tie, skinny designer jeans, and lil' ska hat.
Tells me you are no hipster, good thing, all the hipsters I have encountered are pompous d-bags.
