    Kilted Installation

We had our 2008 installation of officers today and those who had them were requested to wear the kilt.

The entire slate of officers Paul in the middle, me on the left

Kilted Bro. from Concord who browses the site and recognized my name!
We didn't give Paul a chance to put his sporran back on after losing the apron.

Unfortunately the young lady taking the picture didn't realize that head shots don't count when photographing kilties and cut off most of the kilts
I got a chance to meet a new friend in kilts and had some super eats after (we have a member who is not Scottish but of Italian descent. Two Words: Homemade Cannoli!

Fantastic!!! Just fantastic!! Great group of gentlemen. One day this year, I should have enough kilted ones in my Lodge to have a kilted degree. I don't think we'll be in PC's, although that would be nice. I think we'll make the "uniform" for the degree tux shirt only. Should still look pretty good.

Not only nice to see kilts in the lodge, nice to see brothers under 85 years old in the lodge. I am the youngest in my lodge. The next youngest is in his 60 then its 80's and up. Great photo's.

Paul, our new Master, is 27 years old. Incidentally, the old guy on the left is our oldest member as well as our most active. He was secretary for 43 years and stepped down to be our marshal and now tyler. He's a 66 year member at 87! For the longest time I was the only kilted Bro. but I'm not so alone now.

The WM of my lodge is 93 the secretary is 88. The secretary of my lodge has kept the lodge going much by him self for the last 15 year. They stopped trying to bring in new brothers, up until about 3 year or 4 years ago. I don't know why, but the lodge is really suffering for it now. Just don't have the youth in the lodge to attract more.
