Kilted with Mickey
As I mentioned in another thread, we were in california last week for a trip to Disneyland. Here I am meeting Goofy:

And one with Mickey Mouse:

Yes, I am wearing a new shirt with the Disney Land font, spelling "Malt Whiskey - The Happiest Drink on Earth". It actually got more comments than the kilt from employees and visitors alike.
Here is one of the wee piper in the "It's a Small World" ride:

Nice pictures, and a very nice t-shirt. I have one too. I bought it in Amsterdam.

It's funny, I work at Disneyland! I see kilties fairly often. Usually utilikilts but often casual kilts and sometimes traditional kilts.
It's funny how often Disney characters are shown playing bagpipes...

There have been some trading pins showing the pipes:

I have a wonderful pin I can't find an image of online, it's Stitch playing the pipes and the pin says Edinburgh Scotland. I often wear it at work. I'll have to take a photo of it.
There's a rare vinyl toy of Donald Duck playing the pipes. I have a ceramic figure of Mickey playing the pipes.
There have been numerous trading pins of the Haunted Mansion ghost piper, but oddly enough, never a pin of the Small World piper.
By the way, any XMarks members going to Disneyland, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do for you... employees have certain perks.

Other than opting to avoid the Tarzan Tree House (I didn't want to show anything off to those below), the rides were not a problem. Other than placing my sporran above the lap bars or seat belts, and then holding on to it, it was not really different than wearing anything else...although on the faster rides it brought new meaning to the phrase "breeze between your knees".

We saw one other person in a black utilikilt on the first day we were there.
That is a great collection of Disney/Kilt/Pipe stuff. I will have to start looking for similar items in the future.

It seems you must have been there on different days, since the girls are wearing dresses in the picture with Mom and Dad, and long pants in the picture with Dad and Goofy.
And I imagine you simply tucked your kilt in under your legs for the rides.
Looks as if the girls enjoyed themselves, anyway.

We were actually in California for a week, and Disneyland for four of those days. It was a fun trip for us all.
