Kilted outing to Hampton Court
What better way to spend a dull, wet, rainy, Friday afternoon but to meet up with some chums and have a lovely cream tea at Hampton Court Palace. the first outing for my new PH IOS. A lovely afternoon in good company.
As is customary a picture to prove it happened.
From L to R -
Westsussexbiker (Aaron) first kilted outing in public. Me, Paul Henry and HarveyH (Harvey)

Four very smart chaps indeed Simon and four PH kilts on display? Yours looks absolutely great, by the way, but you will excuse my preference for Paul's Red Robertson (his Robert Noble military weight tartan, I think. Oh how I wish I'd bid on the recent auction for some of that).
Steve.

It was a fun afternoon despite the rain.
And well spotted of Steve to pick out the Noble cloth. In fact we realised that we had cloth from four different weavers.
From left to right:
Locharron; Marton Mills; Robert Noble; and House of Edgar.

That is some sharp Scottish attire, and enough variation to lend individuality to each of you. If push came to shove, I would have to rank you from left to right as 1, 1, 1, 1. Great show!
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Cheers guys. My first outing in a kilt, as Simon said. Followed by a very wet ride home on the motorbike (not kilted!!) and then a second outing of the kilt, to our local pub. More or less uneventful, apart from a few looks and a lovely older couple who asked me all about it ("which tartan?", special occasion?"). This may be the start of things to come...and I'm already thinking about my second kilt.

Thanks John, much appreciated. I was actually wearing a tie as well, which was obscured by the round neck jumper. Kyle would never forgive me if I didn't wear a tie.
