That's a heck of a contrast from the lush jungle of Mexico to the desert of the southwest US!
Thanks for the travelogue. You took some mighty fine pictures.

A fabulous set of photos Ron.
Like Terry above, I have to admit the pics do make me envious.
Though it is a very good thing that I was not in Mexico last week as I would have been unable to get home due to the flights here beíng suspended because of the volcanic ash.

How Did You Pack Them?
Just curious, as I have a vacation in several months, did you use women's hose legs to pack the kilts are did you find a better way to pack them?
Thanks for the info...

Ya gotta love Marton Mills polyviscose fabric. I wore one kilt and packed five, but didn't do anything special. First folded them in half vertically, then flopped them in half so I had kind of a square shape. Stacked them five deep in the little suitcase. They strapped down pretty tightly. I took along my Jiffy E Steam portable steamer. The kilts were mashed down in the suitcase for two days. On arrival there were no hangers capable of holding the kilt so I just opened them up and laid them over the back of a couch in the room. Did a quick pass with the steamer and they were fine.
Don't think they would have fit as well in the one checked suitcase I had if I'd rolled them in pantyhose. Did the same on my trip to Maui. Just packed them the best I could and took along a steamer.

After having a Stanley Steamer and a Black and Decker Gizmo - both of which died on me. Bought the Jiffy E Steam and love it. Well made and puts out a strong burst of steam for a portable. One pass usually takes the wrinkles out of polyviscose kilts.
Course on the return trip just blasted them with the Jiffy floor model steamer when I unpacked at home.
Remember, I'm talking polyviscose, not wool here.
