Kilted in the Teepee
Was out hiking in Southern Utah this morning. Stopped by Paria Outpost and they've recovered their teepee.

Kilt is Utilikilts Desert Digital Survival II. Like it a lot for hiking due to all the pockets for carrying "stuff" I might need.

When I first read "recovered their teepee" I wondered where it had wandered off to. Have you had a haircut?

Seeing this picture, I had a flash of you in a kilt with painted Indian symbols on it.
Like the kilts with the Saltaire or the lions in the pleats.

Ron, the hair crack reminds me of the line from the musical "Hair" - "you never have to cut it cause it stops by itself" I just trim split ends about once a year. All the Utilikilt light weight 100% cotton DCs are awesome in the heat. Wish the survival was made in sage too.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I think Tess wants to make you a kilt. You should go for it

For sure on the hair stop...20 years and it never gets any longer.
Tess, the Navajo have over 100 clans...always thought they could have a great array of tartans for their clans...course, any Navajos I've talked to about it had absolutely no interest. They track their clans by asking each other "What's your clan?" and when they introduce themselves they identify their maternal and paternal clans. The prohibition against dating anyone in your clan still holds well.
Still think using yarns dyed in local plant colors some beautiful tartans could be woven and sewn into kilts for various Navajo clans. Yup, imposing my heritage on uninterested folks.

My last haircut was in 1986, if I remember correctly.
And yes, it stops by itself.

Wish I had hair just to see if it would stop growing.
