Kilted up to celebrate my birthday
Last night I donned my kilt (cilt) and with my wife and son walked over to a great restaurant overlooking the San Diego bay to celebrate my birthday. The waiter came to the table and said, "I have to ask..." I replied, "exactly what do you have to ask?" He got a bit flustered with the response. I did explain about being a Presbyterian clergyman, etc. but finally said, "It's my birthday and I like to wear my kilt." I finished the evening sharing a wee dram with my neighbor and fellow Naval Officer (who is now interested in getting a kilt after telling him about the Navy tartan). It was a good birthday. Here is a pic of my wife and I at home after returning from dinner.

Sharp outfit! And, you're looking "n" years young. Congratulations and Happy Birthday! May the Good Lord provide many more.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Happiest Of Birthdays, Reverend! You both look fantastic. And yes, I agree--WHY do they always (or at least often) preface it with, "So, I GOTTA ask"? The Devil whispers in my ear, "NO, you DON'T "gotta ask". If I were wearing a turban, or a Western hat, or a saffron robe, or a Nehru jacket, or a yarmulke, or an ascot/cravat....would you still "gotta ask"? But fortunately, the Better Angels Of My Nature (who, according to the TV sitcom character, reside with a Deity whose breath has Single Malt Whisky on it) instruct me to respond as you do--"It's just a Kilt(Cilt). Keep Your Pants On." Sláinte!
