Any reaction from the "macho" Italian men? Kilts seem almost at home there....??

Nope no comments from the men....I was pretty much ignored by them. The women though were another issue.....they all wanted a second or third look

The bottom picture was taken next to the outdoor garden at the Ca' Rezzonico. The best part about going there was that I had to take a traghetto (one of those gondolas charged with just taking people across the canal for half a euro). I did that trip standing up the entire time....

When I was in Venice, as a sailor, in the late 60s, I visited a resturant just off Saint Marks square. They had a picture on the wall of thousands of pigeons spelling Coca Cola in the square. Someone had spread pigeon food to form the words. I've been searching all over the WWW to find a copy of the image, but no luck so far.

Hmmm I didn't see that while I was there....I'm trying to get back there this year so I'll be on the look out for it when I return
