kilted wedding reception
attended a wedding reception this weekend to celebrate the union of two great friends. The bride (Emma) is from Falkirk, the groom (Cedric) from Michigan. They had the wedding in Scotland and a reception stateside. The groom honored both families by wearing a tux for the ceremony and then adopting her customs and arriving to the reception (in both Scotland and here) kilted.
I'm the tall guy in the SWK irish national.

Great photo! You all look wonderful! He looks very comfortable in a kilt! Maybe you can suggest your own kilt nights when you get together with them again. Enforce the conversion! Congratulations to and a blessing on the bride and groom!

WOW most weddings and receptions are a few minutes drive away from each other!
Falkirk has lost a bonnie lassie there!

Very nice pic. You know, I'd like to see more "dress tartan" kilts out there. Pretty much everyone goes for the hunting versions nowadays (including myself). The white background of dress tartans is really starting to grow on me, though.
