Kilting to Make up for a Bad Day
I've been having a dreadful week. Some cash flow issues, lack of sleep, and being woken up at about 9:30 PM tuesday night by a police officer to tell me my car was a crime scene as two people had succeeded in breaking in, but were seen by 2 of my neighbors who called the police.
Well, I had to pop into work for a bit today, and although there was no need to "dress up" I decided, a kilt, hose, flashes, sporran, and vest were in order. Being dressed well did a great deal for improving my mood. I grabbed a couple of pics of the outfit.

It would make my day if my new Alt Kilt showed up today, but its not scheduled for a few more weeks.
Cheers
Chris

well put together! but details on your outfit, man, we need details!
I have to admit that wearing boots and not having the socks scrunched down looked a bit odd.

It does seem that putting on a Kilt dispels all woes, well almost anyway.

details on your outfit, man, we need details!
Black synthetic material shirt by YMLA
Vest by Alfani (Macy's house brand)
Belt by Deisel
Kilt/Flashes: Stillwater Nightstalker ( Heavyweight I think)
Sporran: Thorfinn Custom Sporrans (I have both a brown flap and a black flap but I broke the button on the black flap and I haven't figured out how to fix it yet )
Black Cotton Kilt Hose from Hamilton Dry Goods (I'm not fond of wool)
I'm not sure where my boots came from.
As a teacher of technical theatre, I spend most of my days on my feet, and I quickly discovered that if I don't want to be in pain, I wear boots . Even though I was going in to just do office work, I really don't own any shoes other than my exercise sneakers, and my gillies (which I don't find comfortable at all). Unless I need to wear something else, I wear boots.
Any other questions?
It did make me feel better, but the 104 degree temperature made me shed much of it after I posted the pictures.
