    Kilts in Stained Glass

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights at the Huntly Arms Hotel in Aboyn earlier this week. The decor was a bit tired but the food was good. In the lounge bar they have this rather fine stained-glass window.

Nice window. It looks like a highland games theme? Dancers and some other activity in the background? Is there a connection of "games" to the Hotel?

For those who are interested the coat of arms on the left belongs to the Marquis of Huntly; those on the right are the City of Aberdeen ; and those in centre bottom are the Royal coat of arms as used in Scotland.

    Regards

Yes indeed O'Searcaigh, the Aboyn Highland Games take place just across the road from the Hotel.

Here's a thread a I started a while back in regards to the annual Aboyne Highland games. It may be of some interest.
