    Kilts at WDW?

Once I wetn to Walt Disney World, I saw a "man with a skirt" that wasn't from the staff, and I was really shocked (I was only 15 years old) then the next day I went to EPCOT and saw this band called Off Kilter and guess what, they were using skirts!!, I was double shocked about that.

Then I grew up and made some research about Kilts.

Does any of you has a picture with your kilt at Walt Dinsey World or Disneyland or Epcot?

Please be so kind to share!

I don't have any pics (not sure where they went...), but SWMBO and I did go to Disney World in Orlando a few weeks back. The day started with a Chinese woman being so enamored with the kilt that she had her husband ask permission for a pic. I'm 6'3", she was maybe 4-ft. Great pic!

I got the stink-eye from one of the cashiers at one of the food kiosks. I was wearing my SWK Stewart black, heavy. The cashier, with a decidedly annoyed and heavy English accent, asked why I was in a kilt and what tartan was I wearing. Not wanting to get into it with him, I politely explained that I found the garment to be very comfortable for the days activities and then explained the tartan. He huffed, then turned back to his work.

Same lunch, I'm sitting there with the wife and a cast-member walks by. He notices my t-shirt ("Malt Whiskey" written in Disney script) and tells me "Kewl T!" I couldn't help but wonder if he was still employed at the end of his shift ... LOL

Anywho, the day was OK, no really ugly remarks, not over-the-top gushing, pretty much like any other day ... but I will warn you to hold the apron down if you decide to ride the train ... bit breezy when that thing gets rolling!

None of this rambling contains a pic ... but I'm hoping you've forgotten about that by now!!

Does Tokyo Disneyland count? In December, 2010 I celebrated my birthday there…

Here's a cross-post of the photos from the old thread, and the whole album is still on my website (http://zayith.com/photos/Disneyland%202010/).

    (Of course I went kilted!)

This is how many people there were.

I wasn't the only one kilted there that day...

    How's that for nice weather?

Even the Polynesian totems were dressed for the occasion.

    Me n' the missus.

Just chillin' in the late afternoon.

The crowds persisted well into the evening.... And yes, that is one MASSIVE Christmas tree!

Waiting for my wife at the lost & found... She lost her sweater earlier in the day, and it was recovered with amazing efficiency before we left for our hotel.

Great story! I had forgotten about the pics by the end, right up until you reminded us.
