I went out to Joshua tree for one last day. I probably won't be able to get back until the fall but look forward to Yellowstone this spring. This is me by a Joshua tree Click image for larger version.

Great pictures! Kind of prickly though. Made me itch. That Chuckwalla reminds me of Ringo Starr's movie "Caveman". Thanks for posting.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

I see you mentioned Yellowstone, Grizzbass. I'm going up there in the last week of May. When is yours?

that's the perfect time to go. I've always had great luck finding grizzlies then. My family is going up the 4th or 5th of June due to my son's school but can only stay for a few day due to work and family needs. Having a great wife she has said I should go up before so I'll probably go mid-may and stay for a bit (defines as until I've had my share of grizzlies and blacks). If you haven't ever been especially when your going let me know. During that late May/early june time there are 3 grizzlies and 2 blacks I have almost always seen at certain places and I would be happy to share that info. (one of my friends has told me ole scarface made it through another winter so should be out and as mean looking as ever.

I love ocotillo in bloom. The hummingbirds in Anza Borrego really like them, as well.

    Aren't the iguana's great?

yea they are really cool. I am really tempted to go again especially with the rain as it means tortoises will be out and I've only seen two in the wild.
