Little Apple Brewery for a cup of split pea soup

OK, after the special kilted PSA, I went to my scheduled doctor’s appointment today kilted and I was NOT regimental for safety reasons. I told the Dr. what happened and he said NO problem, as long as the bleeding stopped and the stitches were going to come out on their own anyways.

After the Dr’s appointment I drove out into the country to take care of my friend’s house while he is in Iraq and after I finished there I pulled off into the tall grass and did some practice shooting to get ready for Tuesday’s Pheasant hunt.

Once I finished testing my shotgun and the various Pheasant loads I went to the Little Apple Brewery for a cup of split pea soup and a couple of beers. This is my special mug club mug that is only available to certain members and I now have a lifetime membership in the club, too bad I am not going to stay in the Kansas area after I retire from the Army. Each year club members get a new handmade mug, and this is my third mug, by the time I leave I will have four.

You can see the X Marks the Scot clan crest badge.

After two beers at the Little Apple it was off to Old Chicago’s to finish my last beer for the winter seasonal tour and my free t-shirt.

Nice to see the "traditional" style of shotgun is being carried. The kilt is not often seen out in our shooting fields these days, although, perhaps on the moor early in the grouse shooting season you would have a chance of spotting the kilt. I can smell the soup from here--yum yum.

Is that a German Army pullover? Looks great on you.

It is good to see and hear that you are back to being yourself.

Wonderful photos, it looks like you should be on the cover of the mag.

Grow that beard and you can be a navy type, : )

    Thanks for sharing.

Yes it is a German Army pullover, so comfortable and soft. I blackened the yellow part of the flag patch, I think it looks better now and I can always give a tall tale that this is some Scottish regimental sweater.

You look awesome, perfect for a day out shooting. And that brewery sounds great, wish I could have some of that pea soup right about now!
