We spent the weekend roaming around the cotswolds and oxfordshire. We used to spend a lot of time gigging around these areas in particular several years ago. So we had many little places of interest we wanted to re visit. So we went off with some friends early sat morning and came back sun eve. Not to bore you with loads of pics .. here are a few pics from a very unknown place away from the normal tourist trails, called GreatTew. Its a little gem of a place and like something out of Lord of the Rings. It consists of a church, pub, small tearoom and little village shop selling the basics and still operative as a post office and a few idylic properties.
The pub .. The Faulkland Arms .. a real 'real ale' gem of a place and still sells clay pipes for a one off smoke out the garden.
Before we came home we went and had a beer with our good friend Simin Nicol from Fairport Convention who lives in the area. For those who never heard of them they are well worth checking out.
