    MacTavish (Thompson Red) Modern tartan

I was playing with the camera, trying to get a decent pic, and this one came out making me look a mile tall.

Either way, you get a really good look at the MacTavish (Thompson Red) Modern tartan. A few people in here have said they have never seen this tartan before.

Can't have that, now can we.

Now, while I'm not one to ordinarily fawn over people's photographs, and normally I'm not a real big fan of overwhelmingly red-colored tartans --

that looks pretty damn good. Top notch, dude!

    Still really liking that tartan!

    Who's the kiltmaker?

Had a Siamese cat named Mactavish as a boy...maybe its time to honor her memory along with my Thompson lineage....

Would be a great tartan for El Cajon High School in El Cajon, California...think their school colors were red and powder blue...

I would have to live in a hobbit hole with really small furniture, to look that tall. Kilt looks great.

Love the picture. I am also a proud member of the MacTavish clan. Although my tank is in the Blue Thompson. I forgot how the red mactivish looks. Looks like I may have to pick up a new kilt. Wife's not going to be happy.

The kiltmaker is not one I would recommend, Clansman Knitwear. It was my first kilt and I had not found any forums to help make my decision yet. Took 9 months to deliver on a 3-4 month promise, as well as about 50 calls/emails and a complaint with the better business bureau. I definitly do not recommend this kiltmaker.

You can get this tartan on kiltweb.com at a reasonable price from what I have seen
