Here's a photo of me wearing one of my kilts on a fund raising walk for MADD... a group that promotes sober driving. This is in memory of my young niece who was struck and killed by a drunk driver several years ago. We're tipping bottled water at a rest stop. I'll be doing the same walk this weekend. I don't think I'll bother with the sporran this year though. I suspect I'll be the only kilt wearer. Hoping for better weather this year. .
Blu, that's a wonderful photo, and a very worthy fund raising event. Kudo's to you for participating. I would agree that the walk would be more comfortable without the sporran. I hope you have excellent weather for this weekend's walk. Darrell
May I suggest a leather sporran belt? It might be more comfortable and less damaging to the kilt on walks or hikes. You can get a fine one at this Xmarks link... http://www.rkilts.com/belts.htm steve
Good for you Blu. Madd is a great cause. I am doing the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life all day on Saturday. I haven't decided if I am going to be kilted or not. It may prove awkward on the climbing wall Good luck with your walk this weekend!
Good on you Blu My class here at school have been cutting ribbons for made we are a 20 000 at the moment.

Yep, if you bag the chain and get a leather strap you'll be fine. It'd be a shame to leave that fine sporran at home.

Good on ya, Blu, for doing that walk and supporting the group.
A worthy cause and your support is appreciated by many. The kilt works perfectly for such an outing - comfortable for you and a proper draw for attention to the MADD event. My wife and I are planning on the MS 150 bicycle ride again this fall. Unfortunately a kilt would not work well since I ride a recumbent. The wind would immediately blow up the kilt preventing me from seeing yet giving too many others an unexpected eye full. Cheers! Bill
Looking good, Blu. I love that tartan, and what a good cause.
