Mardi Gras Party
Every year some friends host Shelley and I to the invitation only 'Mystery and Fantasy Mardi Gras Party' here in Houston, and we always have a good time.
Before we get to the photos, I should explain 2 points;
1, The party is Black-tie or 'theme costume' only, This year the theme was "Copacabana, a Latin Glamor Fantasy"
And 2, The event is sponsored by a primarily gay Mardi Gras Krewe.

Shortly after we arrived....

my friend Sandy went for a 40's look.

Shortly after we hit the bar..... Yeah I'm on a table!

Some of the ladies

Sandy and our host Neil.

With one of the other kilted revelers.

Looks like a fun time was had by all. Thanks for the great pictures. Looks as though things got a little wild. Hope you didn't get any drinks spilled on your new Celtic Nations kilt.

The date of Mardi Gras changes every year because it's the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, 47 days before Easter, which can fall on any Sunday between March 23 and April 25. This year Easter is April 8th, and Mardi Gras is February 21st.
Although Carnival season started on January 6th, The Feast of the Epiphany.
Honestly I think the date of this party might have more to do with booking the venue

No worries about spills on the PV, it's teflon treated and they slide right off! I was more worried about my sporran!
