Me and my daughter
This past Memorial Day I had the pleasure of marching in my hometown. My pleasure was doubled as my 5 year old marched with us in the color guard.

Funny story.. as we are marching up main street with people lining each side... I hear people screaming "Victoria! Victoria!". I look at her and see her waving with her index finger for fear of dropping the banner. Too darn cute, huh?

great pics... looks like a fun day!
A Hibernian march looks like fun in the USA with pipes. Can't say this description fits the same-named marches in Scotland!

The march was not Hibernian themed at all.. I just happen to march with a Ancient Order of Hibernians sponsored pipe band. Memorial Day is to honor the dead and missing soldiers of our country.
.. and indeed I am one proud father. She is the apple of me eye .. and now wants to learn drums which is a good thing.. I am a drummer as well..

What a doll! At least with the bagpipes, you have quite a few sticks to beat the boys away from her.

Aye, a bonnie wee lassie
....and she has her father's smile as well....ham!
It'll be good to have something to share with her as she gets older. Write me when she turns into the terrible teens and I will fill you in on the fun
