    Me and my kilt! ;)

    All,

I've only a plain black kilt at the moment. ...hoping to rectify that very soon.....soooo, this is us!! =)
I realize my representation isn't the traditional look, but I've got my own style, and wouldn't have it any other way!

    Regards, Johnnie.

Got these, and many of my other knee high/riding/officers/etc boots, on eBay.....most are lace up, some are pull on, and some of the newer ones have zippers. A few pair are originals from the early part of the twentieth century, and in surprisingly good wearable condition, the rest are more modern or reproductions offered by places such as What Price Glory. I know knee boots are mainly worn by women nowadays (and some have no idea that men ever wore this style of boot, period) but men have worn these type boots in one form or the other for hundreds of years in military and civilian roles, and as I like to do my own thing I see no reason why they can't be worn by men again.....but if you're going to wear them you've got to own it, much like wearing a kilt!! =)

I think those boots go very well with that kilt and your style. Where did you get your kilt?

One of the appeals of a kilt is the comfort and freedom it gives you. Doesn't wearing a bifurcated garment underneath kind of negate that? I think you could keep the boots but leave the trousers, or leggings or whatever they are. Black kilts look good, not sure I'd wear one at my age though.
