Men In Kilts 5k Run
No pictures of the actual run, but wanted to share one of my wife and I in our USA Kilts MacIntyre kilts. Mine is a semi-trad style, her's a mini. She's also wearing the Official Kilt Inspector Shirt.

The run was a part of the Baltimore Irish Festival this weekend. Id say there was about 75 runners, the majority were in kilts. Sadly, they were not very well made kilts, and I saw several folks either putting them on backwards, sideways and with the basting stitches still in them.

The MacIntyre's look great on the 2 of you. I like Sport Kilts' stuff too. Other couples do matching shirts. We kilties do it better .

It boggles the mind.

I can't believe I missed that. I was working installing some lighting fixtures. Somebody remind me ahead of time for next year.

Just prior to my one kilted footrace, my clan convener told me to turn my pleats to the front because it gives the knees more freedom than the aprons, and the wind will push some pleat fabric back between the legs instead of pulling the aprons apart. Speed and modesty.
It seemed to work fine, except I'm slower than I used to be (40 years ago).

Indeed it was. I am in no way a runner...my wife has 3 Half Marathons under her belt the last 2 months. The only way I got through the 5k was her reminding me of the FREE Guinness at the end. Shure, it was 9am, but Guinness is the breakfast of champions, right?

I seriously considered sticking around one more day to take part in the run, but with all the "consumption" the night before, I would have made it about 10 steps before I dropped.
Thank goodness the weather held-up for everybody! That's one late-in-the-year festival that could have actually been held outside. Who knew?
