Met a fewllow kilt wearer walking down the street
As Vanessa and I were walking down the street this afternoon I could not believe my eyes when I saw this gentleman walking toward me. Thomas is the Senior International Officer for admissions from the University of St. Andrews, and was in town doing a presentation, he was good enough to stop and talk for a wee bit and pose for this photo.

It is interesting or perhaps telling that the native born Scot is wearing white hose and ghillie brogues. As he did not ask for advice I did not offer any.

Yeah, but McMurdo's look beats the other hollow, so perhaps there's something to "the rules" (as you refer to them)... Just saying.

I tend to not think about it as one outfit beating the other, I was very happy to have met Thomas, I never thought about how he was dressed, more-so we were simply glad to bump into each other, having said that, thank you for the compliment.

I also notice he is wearing a black bow tie and a wing collar. I wonder if he was on his way to an event? Hard to fit a jacket under his coat though.

He was off to a presentation to prospective students, and he did have a couple of bags with him, I think that is where his PC was. I understand why he was wearing the Columbia jacket as it was still a bit chilly yesterday.
