Tonight is our first 'real' gig in a popular rock venue down the town since we reformed our folk rock band in Sept after 20yrs. Last time we played this venue was 24 yrs ago .. So I have decided that I shall wear my Monarch of the Glen tartan tonight. Just hope we remember all the notes in the correct order . ... Iechyd Da Derek

You'll "knock em dead" Derek, no sweat. Wish I could be there to hear it.

The best of luck, Derek. I wish I could be there, too!
Aren't the Rolling Stones doing something similar? Just remember that the thickest string is at the top when the guitar is facing North and pointing West and everything else should be fine. Anne the Pleater :ootd:

Thanks for posting the pics. I love the MOTG tartan, but have never seen it in a kilt. It looks fantastic! Wish I could be there to see/hear your show, but I'm not that strong a swimmer. Can you play the theme song?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
Update ... the gig was really great and the crowd lapped it up... Confession .. I had to change my Cilt before we left for the gig. The wife insisted that I did not wear my Monarch of the Glen Tartan as its one of my best one's and also her favourite. She didnt want things like beer possibly being spilt on it etc since the place was going to be full of lots of beer swigging folk etc. She had a point so I put my loud welsh morgan on. No pic I'm afraid from last night. Mookien .. it is a lovely tartan and as I said above the wife luv's it. It her favourite. Here is a better pic showing a bit more colour. Iechyd Da Derek
