This months challenge: busting a sweat

I'd like to see pictures of X Markers kilted up, doing something seriously active- active enough to get you to bust out a good sweat.

NOTE: standing in the pub, worrying about whether you've gotten Guinness or MacKeson does not count. Taking the dog for a casual stroll while you look at birds does not count. Standing in front of the fireplace at the annual Tartan Ball - nope. I want to see you guys doing some good, hard, physical activity, kilted up.

    Here are three, from moi...

Throwing at the Pleasanton Highland Games, last Sept.

Ready to head out, back to the trailhead on the last day of last summers backpacking trip in the Emigrant Wilderness. I'm cheating on this picture, because I'm not actually sweating, yet. In another 200 yards, I will be, tho!

Returning one of the Ardenwood Stones to the start line, at the 2012 Tartan Day Games...

Any bonus points for actually being able to see beads of perspiration and shirt sticking?

Absolutely. And if your shirt is untucked and your socks are sagging, it won't bother me in the slightest.

In case people haven't figured this out yet, I occasionally put up these challenges to get pictures of guys in kilts DOING things. We see an awful lot of pictures of guys in kilts standing there. "Here I am, in my kilt". That's great, I'm all for those pictures, too. However, I'm a LOT more interested in what you all DO, than in what you WEAR while you're doing it. This is, after all, a forum about kilts, so how about pictures of you DOING whatever it is that you DO, while you have a kilt on? The thing is, if I don't emphasize the "activity" part of the event, we'll get another 30 pictures of guys standing around in their kilts, and I am loathe to assume that all that the vast majority of X Markers do all day, every day is stand around.

A good one this challenge. Ill add a few here starting with this past winter snow.

A good hike in the white wet stuff. We had about 20 inches and again we had 9 inches so it was piled up on the trails. You definitely break sweat hiking in knee deep snow.

Yep lots of snow. Walked home from work to find my car and drive and street like this.

On with the barn boots and grab the shovel

You would think I was having fun,, heck I was.

At least I could find my car now.

    Last summer trail running.

Me dancing the night away...always works up a brilliant sweat!!!

Okay Alan, so I am standing in this photo, but it was a rather brief pause during a rather strenous "stroll" through knee deep heather, bog and burns in and around the hills of Badenoch. I was dead tired and completely soaked underneath that woolen jumper!

Loaded for a Mt Baker Climb

Approach hike from 3000 to 6000 Mt Baker Washington

Ahh the joy of the mountains.

Winter camping and a morning run in Missouri, with Jennifer

And of course haggis, taters and eggs for breakfast with good hot coffee post run.

If it were meant to be easy everyone would be doing it.
